Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 01.02.2026

At WP AutoFix ("we", "our", or "us"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website (https://wpautofix.com), use our SaaS dashboard, and install our WordPress plugin (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We collect two main types of information to provide and improve our Service:

Account Information:

When you register for an account, we collect your email address, name, and the domain name(s) of the WordPress sites you connect to our Service.

Diagnostic & Error Data (Crucial for the Service):

When a fatal error occurs on your connected WordPress site, our plugin automatically transmits diagnostic data to our servers. This data includes:

  • The specific error message.
  • The file path and line number where the error occurred.
  • A stack trace (a technical report of the active functions at the time of the crash).
  • A list of currently active plugins and your active theme.

Note: While we only look for technical error patterns, stack traces may occasionally contain incidental server paths or database query structures.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect primarily to deliver the core functionality of WP AutoFix:

  • To monitor your website's uptime and health.
  • To analyze the transmitted diagnostic data using Artificial Intelligence to pinpoint the exact cause of a website crash.
  • To send automated commands back to your website to safely deactivate the faulty plugin or theme.
  • To send you critical transactional emails (e.g., downtime alerts, fix confirmations).
  • To manage your account and provide customer support.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone. However, to operate our Service, we share specific data with trusted third-party sub-processors:

OpenAI:

We send the anonymized diagnostic data (error messages, stack traces, and plugin lists) to OpenAI's API to analyze the cause of the crash. We do not send your Account Information (email, name) to OpenAI.

Paddle:

We use Paddle as our Merchant of Record. When you pay for a subscription or a "One-Time Fix", your payment details (credit card, billing address) are processed directly by them. We do not store your payment information on our servers.

Brevo:

We use Brevo to securely deliver transactional emails (like crash alerts and password resets) to your inbox.

Hosting Providers:

Our backend infrastructure is hosted on secure cloud providers where your data is processed and temporarily stored.

4. Data Retention

  • We retain your Account Information for as long as your account is active.
  • Error Logs and Diagnostic Data are kept only as long as necessary to provide the fix and allow you to review your incident history. We automatically delete or anonymize error logs older than 30 days.

5. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR Compliance)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access:

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Correction:

You can edit your account details directly in the dashboard.

Deletion ("Right to be Forgotten"):

You can request that we delete your account and all associated data. You can also disconnect your site and delete the plugin at any time, which instantly stops all data transmission.

Data Portability:

You can request your data in a structured, commonly used format.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including HMAC SHA-256 cryptographic signatures, to ensure that the communication between your WordPress site and our SaaS is strictly authenticated and cannot be intercepted or spoofed by bad actors.

7. Contact Us

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact us at: contact@wpautofix.com.
